NFL Scores: Peyton Manning and Indianapolis Colts Hold Off Houston Texans, Move to 3-0
Peyton Manning threw for 273 yards and a touchdown and Joseph Addai added 72 yard son the ground and a pair of touchdowns as the Indianapolis Colts stayed perfect and handed the Houston Texans their first loss of the year 30-24 on Sunday.
The Colts headed into the fourth quarter with a 27-10 lead but had to sustain a late rally by the Texans before earning the win.
Once again the Colts defense stepped up the intensity and held the Texans running game to just 40 yards on the ground. With the pressure falling on his shoulders
It looked as if the Texans were set for a major upset on Sunday when Jerome Mathis took the opening kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown but the Indy D held Houston to just a field goal the remainder of the half.
