John Force Racing driver severely injured in accident at NHRA Fall Nationals
Bernstein walked away from the crash with no injuries, but Force wasn’t as lucky. The 58-year-old was airlifted to the
“John’s chassis broke in half and the engine and front two wheels were over in Kenny’s lane, and that’s what Kenny hit,” said the team spokesman Elon Werner.
“He was alert and obviously in a lot of pain, but the whole time he was asking questions. His primary concern was for Kenny Bernstein,” Werner added. He also said Force will most likely fully recover from all injuries.
Force’s daughter Ashley Force and son-in-law Robert Hight, both Funny Car drivers, as well as his wife Laurie, were with him at the hospital.
