Dante Culpepper threw for two touchdowns and ran in another three to lift the Oakland Raiders past the Miami Dolphins 35-17 on Sunday.
The win pulled the Raiders to an even 2-2 on the year while the Dolphins dropped to 0-4 to start the season.
While Culpepper was just 5 of 12 in his passing attempts he made the best of his completions hitting Jerry Porter twice for scores. The first came in the opening quarter when Culpepper found Porter on a 7-yard touchdown that gave the Raiders a 7-0 lead.
His second touchdown toss came in the fourth quarter with the Raiders in front 21-17. Culpepper and Porter hooked up on a 27-yard TD that gave the Raiders a commanding 28-17 lead. The game was then sealed on the quarterback’s third rushing touchdown of the game, a 3-yarder with under a minute left.
