The #11 South Carolina Gamecocks (5-1) forced four turnovers and scored on two Andre Woodson fumbles to beat the #8 Kentucky Wildcats (5-1) 38-23 in an SEC battle on Thursday night.
Eric Norwood put the Gamecocks on the board early in the first quarter when Wildcats quarterback Andre Woodson fumbled the ball in the endzone.
After both teams kicked field goals Woodson found Jacob Tamme on an 18-yard touchdown pass and the game was tied at 10-10.
Unfortunately for the Wildcats the second half started in the same fashion as the first as Woodson once again fumbled and once again
Lones Seiber brought the Wildcats to within six with a pair of field goals but the Gamecocks turned to quarterback Chris Smelley in the fourth quarter and the freshman delivered as he tossed a pair of touchdowns to lift Carolina past Kentucky.
