Rashard Mendenhall rushed for 160 yards and finished with three touchdowns while Juice Williams passed for 121 yards and rushed for another 92 yards as the Illinois Fighting Illini knocked off the #5 Wisconsin Badgers 31-26 on Saturday to improve to 5-1 on the year and 3-0 in the Big Ten.

The second half looked a little more promising for the Badgers as quarterback Tyler Donovan connected with Kyle Jefferson on a 43-yard touchdown pass in their opening drive. Illinois countered with Mendenhall’s third touchdown of the game as he punched one past the goal line from 5 yards out to make the score 24-13.
