No. 21 Florida State looks for revenge from last season's blowout against ACC rival Wake Forest Thursday night. The Demon Deacons defeated the Seminoles 30-0 in Tallahassee. It was the first shutout loss at home in coach Bobby Bowden's storied career.
Since that rout, the Seminoles haven't allowed a team to score 30 points. They're ranked ninth nationally this season in scoring defense, 11th against the rush and 17th in total defense, and after four straight wins have rejoined the national rankings for the first time since the preseason.
On offense, their duo of quarterbacks has been pretty effective. Last week, Xavier Lee threw for 257 yards in his first start of the season against North Carolina State. His favorite target, 6-foot-6 receiver Greg Carr, has nine catches for 247 yards and a touchdown in the last two games. Lee will start again this week over Drew Weatherford. Both quarterbacks have been pretty accurate this season with just one interception apiece.
In comparison, Wake quarterback Riley Skinner had thrown seven and just two touchdowns. He will be looking for wide receiver Kenneth Moore, whom Bowden likens to former FSU standout Peter Warrick.
