Colt Brennan threw for 545 yards and four touchdowns, his final pass a 9-yard TD toss to Jason Rivers in overtime to give the #16 Hawaii Warriors a 42-35 win over the San Jose State Spartans and keep their BCS dreams alive.
The win improved the Warriors record to 7-0 while the loss dropped the Spartans to 3-4.
Brennan pulled the Warriors to within seven with a 34-yard touchdown pass to C.J. Hawthorne late in the third quarter but the Spartans re-established their 14-point advantage early in the fourth when James T. Callier scored from 8-yards out.
It looked as if Hawaii was starring at their first loss of the year until Brennan hit Davone Bess on an 11-yard touchdown with 3:53 left in the game to make the score 35-28.

After staging a 14-point comeback the Warriors didn’t let up in overtime as Brennan hit Rivers for the 42-35 lead.
