Determined to avoid the upset trend that has swept through the college football season the #5 Oklahoma Sooners overcame a 7-0 third quarter deficit to beat the Iowa State Cyclones 17-7 in a Big 12 battle on Saturday.
The Sooners were held scoreless through the first half but took their opening possession of the third quarter 77 yards on 11 plays, capped by an 8-yard touchdown run from Chris Brown to tie the game at 7-7.
After fumbling on their next possession the Sooners started another long drive and Brown ended that with a 4-yard run into the endzone for a 14-7 advantage.
