NFL Scores: Chicago Bears Keep Season Alive with Last Second Touchdown Win Over Philadelphia
Brian Griese hit Muhsin Muhammad ona 15-yard touchdown pass with 9 seconds left in the game to give the Chicago Bears (3-4) a 19-16 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles (2-4) on Sunday.
For the first three and a half quarters it was a kickers’ duel as the Bears Robbie Gould booted four field goals and the Eagles David Akers countered with three. Philadelphia eventually found the endzone with 4:57 left in the game when Donovan McNabb hit Matt Schobel on a 13-yard touchdown pass and the Eagles took a 16-12 lead.

Starting from their own 3 yard line Griese used a series of short passes that led up to a 25-yard pass to Bernard Berrian to put the Bears on the Eagles 36 yard line with 31 seconds left in the game. Griese then found Devon Hester for 21 yards to get down to the 15 yard line and with 15 seconds left in the game the Bears quarterback found Muhammad who worked his way into the endzone for the game-winning touchdown.
