Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown is reportedly out for the season after sustaining a knee injury in Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.
An MRI exam Monday determined that Brown had enough damage with his knee to keep him out for the remainder of this season.
He was hurt trying to make a tackle on an interception return in the third quarter of
Brown entered the game leading the NFL in yards from scrimmage. In seven games this season, Brown has 602 yards rushing with a 5.1-yard average and four touchdowns. He also leads the team with 39 receptions for 389 yards with one score.
The Dolphins will replace Brown with Jesse Chatman or Patrick Cobbs. Third-round pick Lorenzo Booker could be activated in Brown’s absence.
