Kobe Bryant Rumored in Trade with Washington Wizards for Gilbert Arenas
It is rumored that Kobe Bryant will be traded to the Washington Wizards for Gilbert Arenas. After Bryant demanded a trade from the Los Angeles Lakers, there has been speculation over which team he would go to.
One general manager said that the Wizards are a "dark horse" candidate for the move.
Arenas, who is from the Los Angeles area and normally plays very well against the Lakers, is talking about opting out of his contract.
The Lakers would probably ask a power forward as well to move Odom to his true position of small forward, which the Wizards don't really have.
The biggest obstacle, though, may be Bryant's no-trade clause, along with the fact he hasn't indicated any interest in Washington.
He has shown interest in the Chicago Bulls, but the Bulls would have to trade all of the players that Bryant would be interested in playing with in order to afford him.
