NHL Playoffs Schedule Friday May 7: Boston Bruins Shooting for Sweep of Philadelphia Flyers, Canucks Looking to Even Series with Blackhawks
The NHL playoffs schedule for Friday could be the ticket for the Boston Bruins to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals as well as a giant step for the Chicago Blackhawks to reach the Western Conference Finals as both teams have the upper hand in their series with the Philadelphia Flyers and Vancouver Canucks respectively.
Boston has been on fire ever since Marc Savard scored an overtime winner in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series with the Philadelphia Flyers. Boston took the first two games on their ice and then hand the Flyers a beating in Game 3, moving them one step closer to a berth into the Eastern Conference Finals, their first since 1992.
The Chicago Blackhawks have shown themselves to be a resilient bunch as they bounced back quickly from a 5-1 blasting in Game 1 of their series with the Vancouver Canucks, taking the next two to grab a 2-1 lead. In their last series against Nashville the Blackhawks dug themselves out of a 1-2 hole with three straight wins and that’s what they are gunning for on Friday before they head back to their home ice. After scoring five goals in the first game Vancouver has managed just four goals in the past two and will need some offense to support goalie Roberto Luongo.
