NBA News: LeBron James Expected to Announce Team on Thursday
LeBron James is expected to announce which NBA jersey he will be wearing next season when he takes part in a one-hour special on ESPN on Thursday night.
According to ESPN The Magazine’s Chris Broussard the most prized free-agent in the NBA will end the speculation, with New York Knicks, Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets, Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers fans all holding their breath.
LeBron remains the center piece of the free agent class but on Wednesday morning it was being reported that Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh would sign with the Miami Heat. That could influence LeBron’s decision as he has made it known his motivation is an NBA ring.
That ring could come in New York though as the Knicks recently came to an agreement with Amare Stoudemire, an attractive piece that LeBron has said he wouldn’t mind playing with. After agreeing to the Knicks deal Stoudemire said he would continue to try and convince James to move to the Big Apple.
The LeBron James free agency question should be answered on Thursday during the 9:00 p.m. ET special.
