Former Villanova All-American Scottie Reynolds Signs Deal in Italy
Former Villanova point guard Scottie Reynolds has signed a one-year contract to play in Italy, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.
Reynolds, a 2009-10 first-team All-American and the second-leading scorer in Villanova history, was not selected in the NBA draft, but was invited by the Phoenix Suns to participate in the summer league and attend training camp.
However, Prima Veroli, a team in Italy's second division, made a one-year offer with substantial financial guarantees, said Reynolds' agent, Lee Melchionni, according to the report.
Reynolds averaged 18.2 points as a senior and scored 2,222 points in his college career with the Wildcats.
The other four All-Americans -- John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins of Kentucky, Evan Turner of Ohio State and Wesley Johnson of Syracuse -- were all selected as lottery picks in the first round.
Reynolds is the first Associated Press All-American to go undrafted since the AP began naming an All-American list.
