Changing the Cleaning Business to a Premium Service

Cleaning is about to change, and this will open the door for a new, premium form of cleaning that leaves the traditional cleaning methods in the dust.  But, before I give you the answers, let's highlight the problems.


Cross-Contamination:  Using the same mop and mop bucket in room after room may get the dirt of the floor (kind of), but it can also spread contamination. We have the same concern for the rags that have been on the cleaning cart all night long. 

Time Management:  Many cleaning companies bid on jobs making only a penny or two per square foot treated.  Once the contract is awarded, there is little incentive to the cleaning company than pushing employees to speed through their assigned duties to maintain company profitability.

Still Cleaning with Chemicals:  Look there are some pretty good cleaning chemicals and some pretty bad one.  But, they are still chemicals that can harm workers and end up in our waterways.  Eco products are not as eco-friendly as we hoped.

Sanitizers that Don't Sanitize:  Do yourself a favor, and go to the cleaning products aisle of the grocery store and read the back of the bottle to see that they must stay WET on the surface for 5-10 minute to kill germs.  In truth, no cleaning service is doing this.  There is not enough time to slow down and wait for the sanitizers to work.  So, we are getting a slight sanitizing effect for the money wasted on sanitizing products..
