It’s the best day of the week! Digging into some crispy, golden, seasoned fries on this Fry-day🍟 This is one of my favorite recipes I’ve been making for years and it’s always a crowd pleaser. When I make it for a get-together I usually will add a little coconut oil, but when I make it for myself I omit, and it’s definitely not necessary for it to be delicious! If I haven’t had fats in a while I’ll “indulge” a bit and add the coconut oil but I’d rather save my fats for some avocado😜
Recipe:
•Potatoes of your choice, I like to use a mix of russet, sweet and gold, cut into fry shapes
•Smoked paprika
•Cayenne pepper
•McFadden Farms organic grilling herbs (or any herbs of your choice but this is my FAVORITE! I order it on amazon)
•Garlic powder •Onion powder
•Sprinkle of Himalayan salt
Preheat oven to 415F. Line a baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper. Place all the uncooked fries in a large bowl. If you are doing coconut oil, add it now and mix it around well (I recommend softening it first). If you’re not doing coconut oil, wet your hands and mix through the potatoes, getting them a little wet (I do this a couple times) so the spices will stick. Next add all your spices and mix. Throw them on the baking sheet and arrange them so they’re evenly laid out. They won’t crisp up nicely if they’re touching. Bake until crispy and golden brown, usually 20-30 min depending on your oven. And that’s it! Enjoy☺️🍟
