Fran Cannon, MBA ACM, of Cannon Training talks about some of the unique challenges of growing a business in 2012, including change and building solid relationships with customers and about his complimentary seminar, “Setting Powerful Goals in 2012” to be held on Jan. 11 at 6:00p.m. at the Double Tree in Mission Valley.
“Writing down a New Year’s resolution is usually not enough,” says Cannon. “The key is to create enough emotional leverage and commitment to make it happen. I will be leading a goal setting workshop and discussing some essential tools and services that should not be ignored in 2012.”The opening segment will feature Ruben Barrales, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, discussing one of the largest Chambers in California, with over 3000 member businesses. Originally founded in 1870, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce is a major force in local public policy.
Attorney Michael D. Curran will discuss some of the important law changes that small business owners should be aware of in 2012. Among these are a new prohibition on performing credit checks on job applicants and heavy penalties for misclassifying workers as independent contractors.
