Melanie Brown, better known to Spice Girls fans as 'Scary Spice', is pregnant. The 35-year-old British singer is now the third former member of the Spice Girls to be currently pregnant. Emma Bunton, also known as 'Baby Spice', is due with a boy in May, and Victoria Beckham, better known as 'Posh Spice' and as the wife of soccer star David Beckham, is due with a girl in July. Bunton is also 35, while Beckham is 36.
Brown told UK magazine
Hello! that she is due some time "around July, August."
Brown also told the magazine that she and husband Stephen Belafonte are "really excited about it and ready for it."
Brown already has two children of her own, two daughters - 12-year-old Phoenix and 3-year-old Angel. Belafonte, meanwhile, has a 6-year-old daughter called Giselle.
"Both my pregnancies have been lucky and happy and exciting, no matter what situation I’ve been in. This is different because we have been married for four years, we have a history together, we’re best friends, we’re in it together, and he’s totally supportive," said Brown about her husband, also 35.
Brown also noted one positive thing about being pregnant, being able to eat whenever you want to. "I like the feeling of being pregnant. I like being able to just eat something if I’m craving it," said Brown. "I definitely do put on weight [during pregnancy] but I think you’re meant to when you’re pregnant. I think it’s healthy.”
