Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade, who missed the team's last game because of a bruised thigh, is expected to make his return on Friday night's game against the Charlotte Bobcats.
Wade had been dealing with a deeply bruised right thigh for about a week. He sat out during at least one team practice and did not play in the Heat's 90-85 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.
On Thursday, however, Wade did some on-court work, and on Friday morning, he joined the team for their shootaround practice.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra says Wade will be evaluated again shortly before tonight's game.
The Heat enter tonight's game literally neck and neck with the Boston Celtics for the no. 2 spot in the Eastern Conference.
