New York Knicks star players Amare Stoudemire and Chauncey Billups are game-time decisions for Game 3 against the Boston Celtics on Friday night.
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni says he feels confident that Amare can play through a pulled back muscle in order to help the Knicks try to dig themselves out of the 0-2 hole that they have dug themselves into.
"He said he feels pretty good, it's better," said D'Antoni, "and I have a lot of faith in our medical staff."
But D'Antoni says there is "a lot less probability" that Billups will be able to play with a strained knee during Game 3.
Stoudemire sat during the second half of Game 2 because of back spasms. Billups strained his left knee in the fourth quarter of Game 1 and did not play at all in Game 2.
