Wayne Gretzky Card Sells for $90,000+
Mint Condition Sports Card Nets Some Big Bucks
On Sunday, a collectible Wayne Gretzky sports card was sold in an online auction for $94,163. According to SCP Auctions, that's the highest price ever paid for a hockey card.
The card is a Wayne Gretzky NHL rookie card in mint condition. Professional Sports Authenticator, PSA, graded the card a perfect 10, meaning that it has no flaws or imperfections.
SCP calls the Gretzky card "arguably the most valuable modern trading card in existence."
