Dallas Mavericks star player Dirk Nowitzki is expected to wear a splint during Game 2 of the NBA Finals series versus the Heat.
Nowitzki has a torn tendon in his left middle finger but will wear a splint to protect it so that he can play in the second game of the series that the Mavs trail 0-1.

Nowitzki injured the finger near the end of Game 1 when he was trying to steal the ball from Heat forward Chris Bosh.
"I'm not really worried about it," said Nowitzki on Thursday morning. "We'll try something right before the warm-ups. The main thing is when you hold the ball in that hand, so I don't really want to put too much tape over it. I still like to feel it, and we'll find something to protect it from the back."
