Just minutes after he was eliminated from the French Open and had his historic win streak ended by all-time tennis great Roger Federer, Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic announced that he will not be playing in the Queen's Club tournament next week because of a knee injury.
With a lot on the line, Djokovic was defeated in 4 sets by Federer on Friday. His loss prevented him from becoming the #1 player in the world for the first time ever. It also prevented him from winning his first French Open title this year. Finally, it also put an end to an amazing 43-match win streak that extended all the way back to last November.
Djokovic has withdrawn from the London tournament because of tendinitis in his knee. Richard Gasquet of France has also pulled out because of a leg injury and American player Mardy Fish because of abdominal pain.
