Photizo Group Embraces Predictive Analytics to Improve Margins for Imaging Industry
Photizo Group announced today
that it is using predictive analytics to provide clients with data-driven
insights into the health and productivity of imaging machinery -- helping to
improve operations and improve margins. To do this, Photizo selected the IBM Predictive Maintenance and Quality (PMQ) platform as the core technology engine to drive Photizo
Group’s analytics practice.
As operational efficiency
becomes key to improving margins in a hyper competitive industry, Photizo Group
recognized the imperative to help clients improve margins. Predictive analytics
allows companies to turn masses of device data into decision making insights to
reduce service costs, optimize supplies fulfillment, and improve overall
operational efficiency.
Predictive analytics and
insights can deliver financial results for companies. Some examples include:
- In large fleet management situations, streamlined service operations and reduced maintenance costs of 25 percent or more,
- The reduction of commercial device downtime by just one percent can result in additional revenues between $90 and $350 thousand per year for each digital or analogue printing press1,
- Reducing the amount of wasted toner and additional shipping costs in managed fleet environments where currently, on average, an extra cartridge is shipped for every device on an annual basis.
