Nikon will be releasing the new D3 and D300 models. The D3 is geared more toward professional users. It is equipped with a large CMOS, complementary metal oxide semiconductor, sensor that enhances the picture quality in comparison to the company's previous model. The new D3 features ultra-high sensitivity, enabling professional users to capture pictures in dark surroundings. It will be sold at around $ 5,000.00 (580,000 yen) each.
The other D300 model features a 12.3 mega pixel image sensor in comparison to the 10 mega pixel sensor used in Nikon's previous high-tech model. It will be priced at around $ 2,000.00 (230,000 yen) for each camera purchase.
Nikon is hoping to capture an immense increase in global market shares, as well as consumer satisfaction in regard to other digital camera companies.
