Sony Issues Recall for Vaio Laptops

Sony Corp. (SNE) has issued a recall for 440,000 of their Vaio laptop computers due to faulty wiring that could cause overheating. On Thursday, Sony said the recall included 19 models of the Vaio TZ laptop series manufactured between May 2007 and July 2008. The recall also includes 3 export models.

The faulty wiring connects the main body of the computer to its display. The wiring could cause overheating near a power plug which sometimes distorts the shape of the computer.
