Canadian music producer and artist Daniel Lanois has a note worthy background with famous musicians, converting their music to greater heights such as U2, Bob Dylan, and Bono. Currently Daniel Lanois is working on his own solo project with the new international film “Here Is What Is." In the film Lanois is writing with U2 and Eno.
This self financed independent film was co directed with Adam Samuels and Adam Vollick, and will premiere on September 9, 2007 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The film "Here Is What Is" will also feature U2 collaborator Brian Eno and will preview studio sessions for Daniel Lanois' next album, which will feature the Band's Garth Hudson on several songs. Lanois states, ‘that the goal of the film is for the film to be picked up by a distributor and hit theaters early next year.'
