Stewart’s Credits Include “Pirates of the Caribbean 2,” “Dark Knight Rises” “Just Go With It”

Eye on Excellence™ Productions, producers of “Eye on Entertainment,” a weekly series hosted by actress Dawna Lee Heising, has announced a new segment featuring versatile actor, singer, dancer and community activist Lejon O. Stewart.  During his interview, Stewart, a native of Southern California, reveals that as a youth, he had ambitions to be an actor and, in fact, at the age of eleven played Travis in an All Peoples’ Community Production of “Raising in the Sun.”   Not content with being adept at one of the arts, Stewart also danced on “Soul Train,” “American Bandstand” and “Solid Gold Hits,” major TV shows, which enjoyed high popularity with the youth of the day.  Stewart’s acting ambitions were honed via his acting major at UCLA.  During this period of his life, he notes that as a member of the Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, he also became a community activist, performing community service throughout Los Angeles and the Inland Empire as a motivational speaker and tutor.  A member of SAG. since 1998, Stewart joined AFTRA in 2000.   

Today, he is most recognized for his role in the blockbuster film "Pirates of the Caribbean – 2.” In fact, he says proudly, last Christmas, based on his character in the film, Disney included the Lejon Black Pearl Pirate toy in the "Bone Cage" apparatus marketed by Lego.  Stewart’s recent television credits include NBC 's "Community" &  "Parenthood" and Fox's "Glee." He also appears on the You-Tube web series, "Meter Maids,” as well as in several Channel 101 web shows portraying a pirate, ‘crackhead,’ maniacal fan,  leprechaun and many more “far out characters.”   Stewart also plays Hornet in the action/thriller "Shadow of the Monarch". Stewart tells Dawna that he continues to round out his life via membership in the Screen Actors Guild's Book Pals.  In fact, he notes, for the past thirteen years has read to and worked with students throughout the greater Los Angeles area.   In his parting comments, Stewart relates the following wish,  “If the cutting room floor Gods are good to me, you will soon see me in the latest Batman installment ‘Dark Knight Rises.’" To see the interview, please visit:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kHaOmk8pKc
